Oh Disney Genie+, how I love thee. Let me count the ways! This magical service gives you the ability to book Lightning Lanereservations for over 40 attractions and experiences across the Walt Disney World Resort. Starting at 7 a.m. EST, I can book my first reservation for a shorter wait at these attractions! I like to maximize my time in the parks and this service really helps me do that. Less time waiting in lines equals more time to snack around the parks!
I have some good news for you! If you have a ticket with the Park Hopper Option, you will only need to purchase Disney Genie+ once per day, per person and you can use the service to make Lightning Lane reservations for the first park you visit and the park(s) to which you are hopping. Just keep these things in mind:
- You can make one reservation at a time.
- You can park hop to another park starting at 2 p.m. EST. As such, you will only be able to make reservations for the park(s) you are hopping to for times after 2 p.m.
- If you want to make a Lightning Lane reservation for an attraction in the park you are hopping to, you will need to wait until the return times for the attraction you are trying to experience reach 2 p.m. or later.
Now,Individual Lighting Lanes are my favorite. They give you access to the most popular rides and you are able to select a time from the times available. You can buy up to two Individual Lightning Lanes per person, per day. If you have the Park Hopper Option, you can make your Individual Lightning Lane reservations for an attraction in your first park of the day or a park to which you are hopping. I highly recommend purchasing Individual Lightning Lanes for Star Wars: Rise of the ResistanceatDisney's Hollywood Studios and Avatar Flight of Passage at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
Please keep in mind that Disney Genie+ goes on sale at 12 a.m. midnight EST each day. While you do not have to purchase the service at this time, you will want to do so before 7 a.m., which is when you can make your first reservation. Please note that this service can sell out if it's a very busy day. If you are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you can begin to make your Individual Lightning Lane reservations at 7 a.m. as well. All other Guests can make these reservations when the park opens for the day.
