The 1300$ config is with the snapdragon plus.Cheapest elite one is 1650 and it's with 256gb only.
Pretty sure you can't trade in any junk laptop eithe and you're not getting a (free or to resell) monitor.
You're talking 950$ (laptop + monitor) vs 1950$. At that price point, I doubt you're reaching the same people.
If you sell the monitor, you basically end up with a sub-1000$ tax-in snapdragon elite laptop, vs 2200$+ for the surface.
Well put.
Again at this price point, the need to use some workaround to get a functional keyboard isn't too painful.

The keys are damned shallow, yet I am almost as fast as on a normal laptop.
Prior to powe toys, it was a / nightmare with me having to hit backspace a lot and lifting my right hand off the home row keys (for the old-school typists) to hit the enter key.
I decided to hold off on the laptop and go for a v10 vacuum as it was more necessary, lol.

Nothing special. But be sure you meet the minimum required for the coupon of 1250.

This + making sure the SPC code lines up to your email account.
I’m pretty sure it’s the same code for everyone, you just need to make sure it’s the same on SPC & Samsung.
Not absolutely sure about this, but it kept giving me the message until I bought it with another account (on the SPC.com website and not the app).

I think the 5% mobile discount applied to mobile products does not apply if not using Samsung app
250 SPC discount does not apply if using Samsung app...

If the laptop doesn't work for me, can I return it for free?
Edit: For whoever wondering the same, the answer is NO.
I bought a M5 27" monitor + 14" Edge for $1048, I intend to not open the monitor until I'm sure I'm keeping the laptop, otherwise I'll return both. I've returned stuff to Samsung in the past and was never charged any fees, what's up with that 10% restocking fees some ppl are talking about here?

NO, 10% restocking fee if unopened. Not sure if opened. New policy.

What's your source?
There's no such statement on the Samsung Canada website, including their Terms and Conditions . The only 10% restocking fees stated on that page is for Scheduled Carrier Delivery, e.g. when you buy a stove, fridge or extra-large TV with a fixed, scheduled delivery date.
Their return policy seems very simple to me:
Unless your product is ineligible for return (see Products Ineligible for Return: Open Box and Nonrefundable Fees above), returns are allowed within fifteen (15) days of your receipt of the product.
There seems to have a 10% fee if you cancel your order after it shipped, but before receiving it. If that's your situation, just decline delivery, or accept and return it (for free).
The absolute worst case, when reading the Terms and Conditions, is that you might have to pay for shipping to return the item. That part is a bit unclear. But that is highly, highly unlikely, because it would make it much harder on Samsung to insure the goods being returned and would increase their risk significantly.

The terms and conditions you are referencing is for the "general" samsung.com/ca website, there scheduled delivery is defined exclusively in relation to Large Items.
7. DELIVERY POLICY
a. General Delivery/Shipping TermsSamsung will deliver products to valid shipping addresses located within Canada only. Samsung does not deliver to P.O. Boxes nor to all areas of Canada.
Delivery will be effected by Scheduled Carrier Delivery (large) or parcel delivery, depending on the type of product purchased as indicated at checkout.
Delivery fees may apply to your purchase. Your delivery fee will be calculated at checkout.
However for the education store, the terms are a worded differently, and it appears Samsung is exploiting this to charge the 10% fees.
a. General Delivery/Shipping Terms
Samsung will deliver products to valid shipping addresses located within Canada only. Samsung does not deliver to P.O. Boxes nor to all areas of Canada.
Delivery will be effected by scheduled carrier delivery or parcel delivery, depending on the type of product purchased as indicated at checkout.
b. Parcel Delivery
All products that are not delivered by scheduled carrier delivery company, as determined by Samsung, will be delivered to you by parcel delivery free of charge, provided that your total order amount (before taxes) is at least $50. If your parcel delivery order total is less than $50 before taxes, a $4.95 delivery fee will apply.

I'm trying to return an unopened/ sealed monitor, and they'll only process the return with a 10% restocking fee.

Based on the comments in this thread it looks like Monitor is subject to 10% restocking fee - seems fairly reasonable as monitor boxes can get quite large/heavy and expensive to ship.
Unsure if the laptop is subject to the restocking fee as the laptops have not shipped yet.

Someone mentioned about the 10% applies to cellphones too, I guess laptop too, not 100% sure.

I see, thanks. I'm also on a chat with Samsung, waiting for their reply. If that's the case, I'll cancel my order, I'm too unsure about the keyboard. Probably couldn't manage it for coding.

May I ask how did you get the 5% mobile products? I thought it only comes from Samsung app not SPC website.
