Blacklist Oheb
Due to the recent Blacklist International Players existing the org. Players like Oheb expressed support to former teammates. Here is what he said “Trabaho lang, walang personalan. Pero ano, tropa tropa pa rin naman. Wala namang magbabago. Trabaho lang talaga" OHEB said this during the MPL PH Season 14 media day. He also added “Sakin ano eh, masaya ako para sa kanila. Masaya naman sila ngayon kung nasan sila eh.“ It was also revealed that Initially OHEB disclosed that he also contemplated leaving the squad but ultimately decided against it. Final Fantasy XVI Mobile
Suppose you are a fan of Final Fantasy games. In that case, the National Press and Publication Administration of China has approved a new batch of import games for release in the country and One of the games is a Final Fantasy XIV Mobile game. It was recently reported that the franchise’s fourteenth installment Final Fantasy XIV Mobile is in development. The mobile version will be called titled Final Fantasy XIV: Crystal World. The announcement came during the FF14 Eorzean Symphony concert in Guangzhou. Final Fantasy XIV: Crystal World is being developed by Square Enix and Tencent subsidiary Lightspeed Studios. Unfortunately, there was no mention of the release date
UAAP Esports
Are you guys familiar with UAAP? Well, it seems like they are officially venturing into esports. In an article by Spin.ph, UAAP is officially incorporating esports in its list of events. According to the official press information, From August 13 to 21, students, fans, and alumni can show their school spirit and cheer for their universities. Because they will officially debut esports for now UAAP will feature three games namely NBA 2K, VALORANT, and Mobile Legends. If you are interested, NBA 2K will happen from August 13-15, VALORANT will take place from the 13th until the 16th, and Mobile Legends will have its own separate dates from August 17-21. Ticket prices vary as group stage tickets are worth Php100, while playoff stage tickets are priced at Php150.
Naruto Live-Action Disaster
You guys know Naruto, and Kids know Naruto, not sure if your grandparents do but the point is the majority know Naruto. So in 2015, a Naruto Live action was announced and apparently Lionsgate is developing meaning this is coming from the west or Holywood.
If you are excited don't get your hopes up, Because according to several news outlets like Cosmic Book News, Fandomwire, and ThatParkPlace. The Naruto Live action production seems to be in trouble. How bad? Dragon Evolution levels of bad.

MPL PH Anti-Poaching
Tiebreakertimes has an interesting article called “Recent transfer issue puts the spotlight on unethical recruitment in MPL scene”. This is because of recent developments involving Aurora and Blacklist International’s former players. Quick recap majority of the Blacklist International players moved to Aurora Gaming. These players are Yue, Edward, Renjay, Ohmyv33nus, and Wise, Note V33wise will work behind the scenes as players.
In the Tiebreakertimes article, it was mentioned that. Tryke Gutierrez alleged that Aurora directly approached some of their members – who still have six months left in their contracts. This is without seeking permission from the management. Basically, the recruitment spree raised red flags
Note that the MPL PH Committee has vetted thoroughly the process of the transfer. It was revealed that the MPL PH Committee confirmed that it had worked closely with the parties involved and thoroughly examined every aspect of the transfer to ensure that the move complied with the league’s anti-poaching rule
MPL Scene Unethical Recruitment
Even though the process between Blacklist and Aurora is fully vetted. Not everything is sunshine and rainbows, Because there is something!
According to the Tiebreakertimes article, An executive from an MPL PH team spoke on the condition of anonymity. It was revealed that attempts at poaching have been rampant in the scene for quite some time several local and overseas teams directly reaching out to players and bypassing their mother organization. Some even go under the table they’re doing it under the table para lang malason nila ‘yung player and at the same time makuha nila ng mura, sobrang mura to the point na ‘yung player hindi na makikipag-coordinate nang maayos sa team niya para lang makalipat.
In the Tiebreakertimes article they also talked to an MPL overseas coach which revealed that organizations go directly to the players is to know their current salary and make an offer that is much, much higher. Some strategies used are teams abroad using their players as proxies to recruit for them
To be fair there is an anti-poaching rule, Designed to penalize teams found guilty of contacting players directly without their management’s approval
Penalties, including bans, will be given to players or organizations found guilty of poaching.
Genshin Impact Boycott Fail
It's a sad day, are you sad? Well it's sad if you are one of the crybabies on Twitter or x who are currently boycotting ZZZ, Genshin Impact, or Honkai Star Rail
Because apparently Mihoyo's revenue increased by nearly 10%. Mihoyo titles grossed around $177 million USD, Zenless Zone Zero raked in a total of $99.8 million in revenue for the month of July, $40.3 million from Honkai: Star Rail, and another $37.3 million from Genshin Impact
Did one of you contribute to this? Because you might get canceled for supporting a Fictional game that's being accused of whitewashing and cultural appropriation. According to the boycotters they promise to increase their efforts let's see if they are on a match with whales.
Elden Ring Lawsuit
Do you know Elden Ring right? It's a fun but challenging game. Unfortunately, not all are having fun and just find the game hard. Recently an Elden Ring player has sued Bandai Namco and FromSoftware, alleging that the game's content is hidden due to excessive difficulty.
Initially, I thought this was a troll because of the plaintiff their intentions on 4chan. The lawsuit claims only half of FromSoftware's games have been explored, with significant content inaccessible to players. if you play the game that's one of the charms.
Fortunately, legal experts doubt the lawsuit will succeed citing the speculative nature of the claims there will also be a challenge of proving consumer deception.
Cabal PC And Mobile Shutdown
Do you know Cabal? Or did you play Cabal Online? This is more like a PSA because, after a month of the Cabal Online PH servers shutting down, it was revealed on July 1 that the mobile version of Cabal Online: Heroes of Nevareth will also shut down. Playpark isn't the one calling the shots it seems like it's ESTsoft. According to Dylan Live, they even went as far as offering twice as much to keep their contract. This means there are still spenders and Playpark doesn't want to close it. The Playpark CEO allegedly went to Korea to meet with the 'new ESTSoft CEO but didn't show up. The Developer suddenly rejects the Publisher without explaining. Another Cabal mobile game called Cabal Red is gearing up for release.
