Beigoma Starter Guide

Beigoma is a top battling game in the world of Eiyuden Chronicle. You'll first get the opportunity to unlock it during the chapter Reveal Harlan's Schemes! Return to Eltisweiss and head to the southwestern part of town where you can find a boy named Reid playing Beigoma. Select the option "Uh, maybe?" and you'll begin the questline.

Head over to Dr. Corque's house in Eltisweiss in the southeastern part of town and you'll be given your first Practice Beigomas to play with. Now, you'll have all you need to do to start playing against other Beigoma Trainers across the world!

Playing is simple. All you need to do is start a battle with an opponent and then drop your Beigoma into the arena. Make sure you press the button when the marker is in the middle to get the best possible start and then all you'll need to do is leave it up to your Beigoma. You'll be able to occasionally hit Boost during the battle to give your Beigoma an edge, this will also activate any abilities your Beigoma may have on it.

Abilities for your Beigoma are indicated when selecting them. Blue abilities indicate buffs your Beigoma will put on itself sometimes when activating Boost while Red abilities will indicate debuffs your Beigoma will put on the enemy Beigoma sometimes when activating Boost.

Sometimes you'll also get a Clash sequence, where you'll need to mash the button in order to win. If you do, you'll deal a large chunk of damage to the enemy Beigoma and you won't suffer anything! To trigger a clash, you and your opponent both need to trigger their boosts at approximately the same time and have your Beigoma clash. Different opponents will use their Boost at different times, so try and best time it in line with who you're facing!

Beigoma also have more detailed statistics that you can view from Dr. Corque at your Beigoma collection or in the pre-battle screen by switching the view.

It's worth noting that the elements that correspond to the Beigomas often do mean they have an advantage against other elements based on the skills they have.

How to Recruit Dr. Corque and Reid

For a complete guide on recruiting the two characters that correspond with the Beigoma questline, you'll need to do the following after beginning the questline in order:

  • Beat Taq in Altverden
  • Beat Fender in Kyshiri
  • Beat Celera in Werne

After these three trainers, head back to Dr. Corque and you'll be able to recruit him! Reid is a little more in-depth. After you recruit Dr. Corque, speak to him back at your Castle Town and continue on the questline until you find Venom in Daphan, then you'll have to do the following:

  • Beat Venom in Daphan
  • Beat 2 Random Beigoma Trainers
  • Beat Thudd in Arenside
  • Beat 2 Random Beigoma Trainers
  • Beat Zeph at the Treefolk Village
  • Rematch Reid at your Castle HQ
  • Beat 3 Random Beigoma Trainers
  • Beat Flowe in Hishahn
  • Beat 4 Random Beigoma Trainers
  • Beat Pyre in Impershi'arc
  • Beat 3 Random Beigoma Trainers
  • Beat Crash in Ardinale

After defeating Crash, Reid will finally join you! There is still more to be done to complete the entire Beigoma Questline, which includes defeating all the Beigoma Trainers and then finally, the Beigoma Sage!

With all this said and done, Beigoma is a very difficult mini-game, with a lot left up to chance and luck. Since there's nearly no skill involved, often times the only thing that you can do while playing is just have the stronger top. We'd recommend you complete the questline or continue to progress as you progress through the game naturally, as the starter tops are extremely weak and no where near able to get you through any of the quest line.

All Beigoma Drop Locations

Beigoma are acquired through random drops from monsters or through the Beigoma questline where they can be given to you as an award. As a rule of thumb, when looking for Beigoma, it's recommended to equip Drop Rate UP accessories, such as the Lucky Badge or Super Lucky Badge. Once you recruit Dr. Corque as well, bringing him as your Support Character will increase Beigoma drop chance. This should give you a very high chance of dropping Beigoma from encounters.

There are 60 Beigoma in total, so be sure to try and get them all!

All Beigoma Trainer Locations

In order to complete the Beigoma questline, you'll also have to defeat all the Beigoma Trainers located around the world. Only then will you be able to challenge Dr. Corque and the Beigoma Sage! You'll want to look for stationary NPCs.

Since it's not entirely clear if you've defeated a Beigoma Trainer already or not, the best way to know is if they give you something upon being defeated. A Beigoma Trainer will always give you a Healing item on their first loss, so if they don't give you anything, you'll know!
